Game Summary
“Jurisdiction” is a police management game that lets you run the cops your way. Recruit, train, and equip your cops as you see fit, then dispatch them to crimes all across the city of Freemont. Shape the philosophy of the entire police force by configuring the rules and procedures that all your cops must follow while on the job.
Spike strips, undercover stings, customizable patrol routes, criminal informants, and a police helicopter are just some of the tools you’ll use to protect and serve in this compelling and stylish take on the management/strategy genre.
The game’s criminal ecosystem responds to your choices, either growing bolder in the face of leniency or retreating in response to swift justice. The public is always watching and will provide feedback on your performance through opinion polls and newspapers. Can you walk the line between free society and police state?
Features
More than 30 crimes and events to dispatch your cops to, including property crimes, violence and vice, noise complaints, and traffic violations.
Configurable gear loadouts and policy settings for each division of your force to determine how your cops handle specific situations.
Unpredictable crime waves that will set you on edge and test your ability to stay cool under pressure.
“Jurisdiction” comes with two gameplay modes: An open-ended sandbox mode, and Challenge mode to enable specific objectives you must work to achieve.
Numerous difficulty controls and modifiers so every player can find the level of challenge that’s right for them.
Intelligence points that are collected by arresting suspects. Intelligence points can be spent to connect with criminal informants who expose hidden crimes and hideouts throughout the city.
Detailed sound design which not only breathes life into the city, but also provides clues to hidden criminal activity you may need to investigate. You can actually help your cops find crimes by zooming down to street level and listening for suspicious sounds!
Nearly an hour of original music, including theme music by Mark Seibert, composer from Sierra’s classic “Police Quest” series.
Over 12,700 individual buildings and locations, including more than 7,000 houses, and more than 5,500 shops and businesses. Each of these locations can be the home of an innocent civilian, a suspect, or the scene of a crime!
A responsive ecosystem that reacts to the player’s choices. For instance, issuing more tickets may discourage future violations, but also frustrate the public. Being too forgiving will win favor with the public, but potentially backfire by teaching criminals they can get away with their misdeeds.
“Jurisdiction” features a flexible investigation system that allows you to meticulously build a case against a suspected perpetrator, or throw caution out the window and arrest an innocent person to send to trial.
Freedom to design your own patrol routes, or to jump right in with pre-made routes!
An extensive tutorial to teach you how to play, plus an in-game manual that makes it easy to learn about crimes and units at any time.
